Situated high on the hill of La Colline des Fadons, on one-and-a half acres of private land overlooking a magnificent view of forest and vineyards in Le Thoronet, although new, the villa is built in the traditional Provencal style with top-quality fittings throughout. Facing south, one can enjoy the sunshine day-long, basking by the 9 metre swimming pool under an umbrella or under the pergola on the terrace. Enjoy alfresco dining all day long on the covered terrace, surrounded by colourful potted plants, from an 8-10 seater table, while listening to the chanting of the Provencal "cigales."
The pool-house, built to match the villa, provides shade and comfort with wrought iron furniture(including a day bed), as well as another dining area. There is an open fire, perfect for cooler nights and barbeque. For those who like a bit of activity in a relaxed environment, take the easy walkway to below the poolhouse and enjoy playing petanque or just watch from the comfortable adjacent seating area.
Floors are tiled throughout the villa, which has a large, well- appointed lounge (3-seater, 2-seater and armchair, writing desk) foyer, and a glass topped wrought iron dining table seating 6. A well designed open and airy villa, it affords privacy for occupants of the two double bedrooms on the ground floor which are equipped with king size beds, pure cotton bedding and high-quality fittings. The bed in the second bedroom can be separated if desired. These rooms are situated at opposite ends of the villa with lounge, dining and kitchen separating them.
All rooms open onto the terrace with sliding doors which enter the walls allowing one to take full advantage of the beautiful view. The main bedroom (blue and white) has a matching fully tiled bathroom featuring a bath with hand-held shower, two hand-basins, a huge mirror, a shower, heated towel rails and toilet, as well as plenty of cupboard space. The second bedroom has its own wing, with separate toilet/hand basin, salle d'eau (hand-basin, mirror, shower, vanity unit) and although next to the bedroom the bathroom/toilet can be easily accessed by non-resident guests.
When staying at Domaine des Abeilles you will have no need to compromise your standards, for the villa is equipped with top-quality drapery and bed linen, and this applies also to the tableware. To accommodate the preferences of guests, the villa is fully equipped with air-conditioning as well as fans and in the unlikely event that one feels the cold, there is a central heating system. To appreciate in full the ambience of a particular evening, there is also an open fireplace.
The new and fully-equipped kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator/freezer unit, a wall oven, hot-plates both gas and electric, microwave and dishwasher. It also features a Nespresso Coffee machine!
